60LEDs/m SK9822 Individual Addressable LED Strip Product Feature
There are 60 Addressable RGB LEDs per meter, and 10mm wide for 60LEDs/meter, DC5V input, and you can control each LED individually! This is the digitally-addressable type of LED strip. You can set the color of each LED’s red, green and blue component with 8-bit PWM precision (so 24-bit color per pixel).
1. Each meter has 60 addressable RGB LEDs, is 10mm wide, and uses a low-voltage DC5V power supply. Individual control of each LED. You can set the color of each LED’s red, green, and blue components with up to 8-bit PWM accuracy (i.e., 24-bit color per pixel).
2. The LEDs are controlled by shift registers connected in series along the strip.
3. PWM is built into each LED chip, so once you’ve set the color, you can stop communicating with the strip and it will continue to control the PWM for all LEDs.
4. The SK9822 is a nearly direct replacement for the APA102 and even surpasses it in some aspects, most notably its built-in constant current control. For LED strips based on the APA102C and WS2812B, use the dimming voltage and red. For the SK9822, this voltage drop is unlikely to have a noticeable effect as long as the voltage remains above 3.5V.
5. The SK9822’s protocol is very similar to that of the APA102C, but it updates the displayed color at different times. If you’re replacing APA102C LEDs with SK9822 LEDs in a low-frame-rate application, you may need to update the code used in our APA102 Arduino library to the SK9822 so you can use it directly or write your own code as a reference. The colors generated by the SK9822 differ from those of the APA102C, so we don’t recommend mixing the APA102C and SK9822 in a single project.

SK9822 vs SK6812
The SK9822 is suitable for high refresh rate and dynamic displays, such as monitors.
The SK6812 meets multi-color requirements, supports RGBW, and is suitable for long-distance applications and complex color control.
1. SK9822 is 5V, only works with RGB color mode. SK6812 is 5V, works with RGB and RGBW, which gives it better color mixing skills.
2. SK9822 has six pins and provides clock signal lines (CKI and CKO). SK6812 has four pins but no clock signal lines.
3. SK9822 can handle data rates of up to 30MHz. It is good for applications with high refresh rates like LED displays. SK6812 has a lower refresh rate of 1.2MHz, which is good for general dynamic effects.
4. SK9822 has a higher voltage dropout, which makes it good for short-distance use. SK6812 works with minimal voltage drop. It is good for longer LED strips.
