How does the WS2811 addressable LED strip work?
The WS2811 is a specialized three-channel LED driver control circuit. It includes an advanced digital interface, data latches, signal conditioning and amplification, a driver circuit, a high-accuracy internal oscillator, and a programmable, current-regulated output driver. The chip uses single-wire return-to-zero communication. After the chip is reset, input data at the DIN terminal is controlled by an Arduino UNO development board or Dream Color intelligent SPI controller. The data is stored in an internal latch. The remaining data is then shaped and amplified internally and forwarded to the next-level chip via the DO port, achieving high-speed data transmission. It has 256 levels of greyscale adjustment, a 24-bit color display, and 16 million dynamic color tracking effects, so it’s great for house illumination.
