K-4000C Addressable LED Controller

Welcome to use the SPI single channel remote transmitter/receiver.

This model is designed for the SPI signal due to the distance is not enough.

The transmitter is a TTL to differential signal output, and the receiver is a differential signal to TTL.

In this way, it can solve the problem of SPI signal distance limitation in many projects. It’s simple and small, easy to solder.

K 4000C Addressable LED Controller

System Features

1. 32-level to 65,536-level grayscale control with software Gamma correction.
2. Supports point, line, and area light sources; supports regular patterns and irregular (custom-shape) mapping.
3. The controller has 4 output ports. Each port can drive up to 512/1024 fixtures (for DMX fixtures: max 512 pixel points, assuming 3 channels per pixel).
4. Playback content is stored on an SD card. Up to 32 effect files can be stored on the SD card. Supported SD card capacity: 128MB–32GB.
5. The controller can be used as a standalone unit or cascaded with multiple units. Cascading uses opto-isolation for better anti-interference and stability. The cascade distance between two units can reach 150 meters; use a 0.5 mm² pure copper power cable.
6. The controller’s load-IC feature can be locked to a specific IC type in software, or left unlocked and selected using the controller’s CHIP button. The latter is more flexible and convenient.
7. For DMX fixtures, the controller has a built-in addressing function. In addition, when used with LedEdit-K V3.26 or later (2016 series), it supports one-click addressing.
8. Supports 4-channel (RGBW) pixel fixtures or splitting them into single-channel pixel points.
9. Built-in effects support 3-channel RGB and 4-channel RGBW.
10. Supports third-party control via MODBUS.
11. Enhanced TTL and RS485 differential (DMX) signal outputs.
12. Includes 22 built-in test effects and a DMX512 channel test function.

Notes:

  • With 512 pixels loaded, the controller can reach 30 fps; with 768 pixels, about 25 fps; with 1024 pixels, about 22 fps (values based on 1903-family ICs; performance varies by IC).
  • Per the international DMX512 (1990) standard, the maximum is 512 pixel points. When driving 170 pixels (standard DMX 170 pixels), speed can reach 30 fps; at 340 pixels, about 20 fps; at 512 pixels, about 12 fps.
  • For timed (holiday) playback, BeiDou wireless synchronization, or console channel assignment/distributor use cases, please contact sales or technical support for details.

Remarks:

  • The maximum pixel count in parentheses is based on RGB (3 channels).
  • For RGBW 4-channel fixtures, select K-8000-RGBW. For fixtures above 4 channels, select K-8000-RGBWYA.
  • For single-channel fixtures, select K-8000-W (one channel equals one pixel point; effects are generated as white light in software).
