DC12V Addressable UV LED Strip WS2818 365nm 395nm
This UV addressable LED strip can adopt 365nm or 405nm for different applications, and it can be programmable to attract more clients.
WS2818 LED strip adopts dual-channel signal transmission (DI and D2); the data line(D1) and backup data line(D2) work together; when one LED is damaged, it will not affect the normal use of other LEDs. The data protocol uses a single-wire return-to-zero code communication method, after the chip is powered on and reset, the DIN terminal receives the data and stores it in the data latch inside the chip, the remaining data is reshaped and amplified by the internal reshaping processing circuit and forwarded to the next pixel, the number of cascaded pixels is only limited by the signal transmission speed requirement.
What is a WS2818 addressable UV LED strip?
395nm belongs to the range of UVA ultraviolet rays. UVA ultraviolet rays are often called “black light”. We offer 395nm UV LEDs. This product’s working voltage is 12V. Each of the three LEDs is driven by an external WS2818 IC. Control is via the serial data protocol SPI.
The WS2818 uses two data lines for signal transmission, with breakpoint and resume functionality. LEDs can be programmed to achieve dynamic patterns, colors, or intensity.
WS2818 addressable UV light strips combine programmable control with the unique properties of UV. It is great for creative lighting solutions. For projects, libraries such as FastLED (Arduino) or WLED (ESP32) support UV control if the IC protocol matches.

UV Addressable LED Strip Applications
UV addressable LED strips can be used in the following applications:
- Stage and Entertainment: Creating a “blacklight” effect. Make fluorescent props and costumes glow in the dark (e.g., at DJ sets and theme parties).
- Decoration and Ambiance: Architectural contour lighting and art installations, such as interactive fluorescent murals.
- Programming and Development: Implement pixel-level animations (streaming, gradients) using ESP32/Arduino driver libraries (e.g., FastLED).
LED Strip Waterproof Level Description
Suntechlite provides addressable LED strips in various waterproof ratings. More information about waterproof levels, please click here, LED Strip IP20 VS IP65 VS IP67 VS IP54 VS IP68.
Select Recommendation:
– Kitchen/bathroom → at least IP65
– Poolside → start with IP67
– Long-term underwater use → IP68 certified products
IP20: Non-waterproof. The PCB surface is completely exposed. With a 3M self-adhesive backing. Suitable for indoor use.
IP54: Limited waterproofing. The PCB surface is covered with a waterproof silicone coating. Moderate dust and limited splash protection. The backing has a 3M self-adhesive backing, making it suitable for use in environments with occasional moisture. Suitable for general indoor environments, but not for extremely humid or dusty environments.
IP65: Waterproof. Epoxy resin coating, the PCB surface is encapsulated with plastic, and the backing has a 3M self-adhesive backing. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
IP67: Waterproof. Silicone sleeve, the PCB is encapsulated with a silicone tube and equipped with plastic fasteners for enhanced waterproof performance. Suitable for outdoor use.
IP68: Waterproof. Fully encapsulated with plastic, both the PCB surface and back are encapsulated with plastic, equipped with plastic fasteners. Highest waterproof rating. Suitable for outdoor use.
