How do I install a narrow pixel LED strip in a car?

1. Use a DC5V power supply. Avoid connecting directly to a 12V battery (a step-down module is required). As this may damage the strip.

2. The strip’s power rating is 18.5W/m, requiring approximately 3.7A per meter (at 5V).

3. Requires a WS2812C-compatible controller, such as the SP107E, SP110E, or K-1000C.

4. Connect the 3-pin connectors correctly: +5V/DIN/GND to avoid incorrect connections that could damage the IC.

5. Secure with double-sided adhesive or transparent heat shrink tubing. A secure fit.

6. When bending the LED strip, maintain a natural bend radius of >1cm to avoid hard bends or damage to the wiring.

7. Avoid installing in high-temperature areas, such as the engine compartment or near air vents.

8. Avoid frequent friction areas such as door hinges and moving parts to prevent damage to the extremely narrow LED strips or their removal.

9. Do not connect the WS2812C signal in the reverse direction (this can be determined by the arrow on the back of the PCB).

10. This light strip is supplied with an IP20 non-waterproof version by default and is suitable for use in dry environments inside a vehicle. All wiring should be protected with heat shrink tubing or insulated to prevent short circuits.
