This light strip gives off 315nm UVB (ultraviolet B) light, which can be employed in biology-related situations or to operate on certain photosensitive materials. It can be used for professional jobs that need UVB light, like curing certain photosensitive materials, doing biological studies, and doing particular detection.

There are 30 3535-type LED beads per meter of this light strip. These beads can withstand high power and are stable in use. It runs on 24V low-voltage power, which is not only safer but also provides stable current. This reduces wear on the beads and makes the strip last longer.

UVB wavelength is 280-320nm, also known as medium-wave erythema effect ultraviolet light. It has medium penetration, and the short-wave part is absorbed by transparent glass. Most of the UVB contained in sunlight is absorbed by the ozone layer, and less than 2% reaches the earth’s surface, which is particularly strong in summer and the afternoon.

UVB can promote mineral metabolism and vitamin D production in the body; UVB is part of photosynthesis in plants, promoting flowering and fruiting of plants; UVB wavelengths, together with appropriate temperature (usually additional heat), are the reason why reptiles produce vitamin D3. However, only some UVB wavelengths (290-315 nm) contribute to the synthesis of vitamin D3.
