0-10V LED Power Supply
What is a 0–10V LED Power Supply?
A 0-10V power supply is a constant voltage driver that can achieve analog dimming functionality through 0-10V control signals. It enables smooth brightness adjustment from 0% to 100% without affecting the stability of the LED output.

How Does 0–10V Dimming Work?
The 0–10V dimming system uses a low-voltage analog signal to control LED brightness.
- 10V = 100% brightness
- 5V = around 50% brightness
- 0V = minimum brightness or OFF (depending on driver type)
This method does not cut or chop the main power supply, so the lighting output is very smooth and flicker-free.
Key Features
- The 0-10V analog control can achieve stable and smooth brightness adjustment without causing obvious flickering.
- Low voltage control signals can be transmitted over long distances and are suitable for large-scale installations.
- It is compatible with most 0-10V dimmers, sensors and lighting control systems.
- It can reduce the brightness when no full lighting is required, helping to lower energy consumption.
- It has overload, overvoltage, overheat and short-circuit protection functions, and also has an automatic recovery function.

Load short circuit and overload will cause power protection and cause the power supply to not work normally. The connection line between the power supply and the load should be as short as possible. Too long or too thin connection line will cause voltage drop on the line, and too thin connection line will easily cause hidden dangers in safety.

0–10V Dimming vs TRIAC Dimming
0-10V dimming uses an analog signal rather than cutting the power waveform. This allows you to adjust brightness smoothly and continuously. It provides stable, flicker-free lighting and is great for big professional systems.
TRIAC Dimming is a classic way to lower brightness by cutting parts of the AC power signal. But it’s not always even, and it can flicker at low levels. It can also make a slight buzzing sound, and limited driver compatibility can make performance less stable.
What LED Driver Do I Need for LED Strip Lights?
Wiring Connection
A 0–10V LED power supply typically includes two separate circuits: the power input circuit and the dimming control circuit.
The power input provides energy to the LED driver through L (live), N (neutral), and ground wires, where the grounding wire improves electrical safety and can help reduce interference.
The dimming control circuit uses a low voltage DC signal, where the 0–10V positive and negative terminals adjust brightness, and which does not carry load power but only sends control instructions, making it safe and suitable for long distance wiring.
